Sodu Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 May 2026

Sodu is a daily Sudoku game, operated by its developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have. Sodu has no user accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics. If you have any questions, contact us at hasantariq.apps@gmail.com.

Information we collect

When you finish a daily puzzle, the app sends one record to our server so it can show you how your result compares with other players. That record contains:

This is the only information that leaves your device. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any advertising or device identifier. Puzzles played in Unlimited mode are not sent anywhere, and your settings and personal statistics stay on your device.

Legal basis

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we process this information under our legitimate interest in providing the comparative statistics feature. The data is limited and cannot be used to identify you.

Who has access

We do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's purposes. To run the service, the data is handled by our cloud database and edge-network providers, who act only on our instructions. It is stored within the UK/EU and encrypted while being sent.

Purchases of the optional "Unlimited Puzzles" upgrade are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. Google's handling of your payment is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep submitted results for as long as the comparative statistics rely on them. You can remove everything at any time from Settings, using "Delete all my stats". This erases the data on your device and permanently deletes every record tied to your device identifier from our server. Uninstalling the app removes the local data; to also remove the server records, delete your stats first.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your information, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Because the in-app "Delete all my stats" tool removes your data directly, it is usually the quickest way to do this, but you can also contact us at hasantariq.apps@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) about how your data is handled.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page before the changes take effect.
